Paris Society is proud to have hosted The Nature Gala on Friday 13 December at the Château de Longchamp. The evening was organised by Jane Goodall - founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and Yann Arthus-Bertrand - president of the Goodplanet Foundation. Friends for more than thirty years, the famous primatologist and the photographer joined their associations for a charity evening followed by an auction for the benefit of both institutions.

Founded in 1977 in California, the Jane Goodall Institute is a non-profit organisation focusing on three areas: research, education and wildlife conservation. Jane Goodall has been leading an uninterrupted fight for the protection of Chimpanzees in Africa for decades.

The Goodplanet Foundation was created in 2005 and is committed to the respect of the environment and its inhabitants through two main areas of intervention: awareness raising and action on the ground.
