Legendary, private, iconic... red castle and mischief
In 1961, the heyday of the happy 60s, Jean Castel opened a legendary club on Rue Princesse in Paris bearing his name: Castel.
More than a legendary institution of a private Saint-Germain-des-Prés mansion, a real ambassador of Parisian night life, Castel has managed to navigate the different eras and trends to remain a benchmark on the Parisian scene.
This internationally renowned private club, elitist and unique on the nocturnal landscape with access restricted to members, has always been frequented by a host of celebrities that many would envy: Pierre Bergé, Serge Gainsbourg, Sacha Distel, Jean Dujardin, Jack Nicholson, Salvador Dali, Johnny Hallyday…
Castel revives its former splendour thanks to a group of sixteen partners, the founding members and contributors with recognised talents. This eclectic tribe redesigned the club around the theme of pleasures, those of the body and the mind, with sometimes risqué but always elegant and arty details, such as the ‘Wall of Fame’ by Jean-Philippe Delhomme for the Castel bar reserved for members of over one year along with their friends. So, whether in the Elite Bar, the Foyer on the ground floor, the underground Club, the Room of Mirrors, the restaurant on the first floor or the Library room on the second, the evening is sure to be bold and incredibly Parisian.
